3 Meggernie Pinewoods

The Breadalbane Deer Management Group (BDMG) covers just over 95,000 ha. It has 28 subscribing members, and was formed in 2003 as an amalgamation of the East Glenlyon and West Rannoch Deer Management Groups. It is not part of any other local association, and operates under its own constitution. The Group subscribes to the Association of Deer Management Groups (ADMG). The boundaries of its area are:
• in the north: Loch Rannoch
• in the east: the A846 Keltneyburn to Tummel Bridge road
• in the south: Loch Tay and the rivers Dochart & Fillan leading up to Tyndrum
• in the west: Rannoch Moor and the Blackmount Deer Management Group
The Group area therefore includes all of Glenlyon and Glen Lochay, the south side of the Rannoch system above Loch Tummel, and the northern part of the Dochart/ Fillan catchment, as well as the northern slopes of Loch Tay.
